Quintín Rivera Toro Chavista Quintín Rivera Toro at Museo de las Américas

Visual artist Quintín Rivera Toro, represented by Walter Otero Gallery, has been selected by the Advisory Comitee of the Museo de las Américas, Cuartel de Ballajá, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for his fist comprehensive solo exhibition. “About Fear, and Other Problems of the Collective Unconscious”, curated by Nelson Rivera Rosario, one of Puerto Rico’s leading intellectuals, will open Thursday, February 25th at 7:00pm.

The exhibit will include work from the past few years as well as recent, all of which explore in depth the artist’s take on progression of the current global crisis within various levels, sometimes collective, sometimes individual. The exhibit will present a variety of media, including photography, video, painting and installation. “About Fear, and Other Problems of the Collective Unconciouss” will be on view from Thursday, February 25 until March 28 of 2010.
